Haul: Primark, New Look, Asos & more!

Hey everybody!

I got a couple of goodies and wanted to share them with you :)
So, let's start.

About two weeks ago my brother went with his girlfriend to Manchester and got me some shoes from Primark. Well, I did pay for them but he was the one to pick them up. I was actually impressed with the ones he picked and I LOVE them (especially the mint one).

Next, is this silver spike necklace I got from asos. I think it is a perfect piece of jewelry to make an outfit a little bit more edgy. From asos I also got this pink/purple bangle. Both of these where from the sale section on their site.

I got these cute pair of earrings from the sale section at new look.

This necklace I got from ebay. It is really girly and delicte looking :)

Lastly, I picked up two books which I already read one of them and I am half way through the second one. I really enjoyed reading them and would recommend them :)

And that completes my haul. Hope you had a wonderful day today :)

Sunday Smiles: Fishtail braid, Penguins and Vampire Dairies!

Hey Everyone!

Happy Sunday to you all! I hope you're having an amazing day today. I've spent my whole weekend trying to study like crazy for my finals which start next Saturday. But looking at the bright side, the sooner I get through them, the sooner it's summertime! <3 I hope you spent your weekend better than I did :)

I am currently in love with the fishtail braid!
I have been trying it out but till now the results where pretty horrible.

My all time favorite animal would be a penguin, which a lot find it's weird.
I just wanted to share with you this picture... isn't it adorable? <3

At last I wanted to talk about my obsession with The Vampire Diaries <3
I watch a bunch of other show but I can never compare tv shows like Pretty little liars or The Secret Circle with The Vampire Diaries ... it is by far my favorite tv show!
Also, having a hottie like Ian Somerhalder aka Damon Salvatore in a show as good as this is the cherry on the cake!
Have you seen this week's eppisode? Oh.my.god ... I nearly died while watching. If you have seen it then you already know why :) And here's my favorite bit from the whole show.

Lastly, I am going to leave you with a little quote to remind you to always be happy -- that's where true beauty comes from :)

Don't forget to comment me any requests for future posts.
Till next time.

How To: Cupcake Nails

Here's a really simple tutorial on how to get these cute cupcake nails!

Step 1: Choose a base color and apply it to all of your nails.

Step 2: Pain the tip with a yellow color.

Step 3: Paint half the tip with a lighter yellow color. While letting it dry, with a tootpick form white lines on the lower peach area.

Step 4: With a dotting tool or a toothpick make different colored dots all over the lighter yellow area. With a red colored nailpolish make a bigger dot on top of the nail.

And here is the result:

DIY- Neon Jewelry

Hey everyone!
I have this little DIY 'project' to show you.
As you might have noticed neon is really in this Spring and you can find neon jewelry in every store right now. Though I thought of making my own neon jewelry. All you need is some material and some creativity.

Items you will need:

Some old jewellery
Neon nail polish

So, let's start:

Step 1 - Choose the piece of jewelry you want to re-vamp. I chose this silver bracelet since I never wear it and also because I thought it would look cute when paiting each strand with a different color.

Step 2 - Choose your colors. I chose to paint mine in four different shades of neon; teal, peach, lilac and hot pink. Tip- try to choose colors that compliment each other.

Step 3 - Paint each strand of beads with a different color. It is important to leave each strand to dry for about 10 to 15 minutes before painting the next one.

Step 4 - Let it completely dry for a couple of hours. I left mine over night while I was sleeping and the next morning it was compeltely dry. At this pont you can re-touch some areas on your jewelry. And this is the result.

I think it turned out looking quite cute and when stacked with other bracelet it looks even better. It's a very inexpensive way to have trendy jewelry and it is also very fun to do.

So, what do you guys think of this idea? Leave me a comment and let me know :)

Trend To Try: Neon Nails

Hey everyone!
One of the hottest trend out there that everyone should try out is the neon nails trend. They are not just perfect to add a pop of color and spice up your outfit this Spring but they are also fun, young and fresh. I will be showing and reviewing the China Glaze Poolside Collection, which follows this trend perfectly. This collection consists of six in-your-face, bright neon colors. I have a love/hate relationship when it comes with neon nails as I think they look kind of weird on me but these colors are just too pretty for me not to wear!

As I said the colors in this collection are just amazing, though the only hitch was the color payoff. China Glaze has always been one of my favorite nail polish brand as it has a great color range as well as excellent formulation but these colors seem to be a little bit opaque. Each color applies a little bit different so you have to see what works best for each color. I would suggest to paint your nails white before applying any of these polishes as this will make them pop.

Note that neon polishes tend to come out a little bit lighter on camera so they might not show true to color but I did the best I could :)

So, here are the nail polishes :) :

Towel Boy Toy, Kiwi Coolada, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, Sun Worshiper, Flip Flop Fantasy, and Pool Party

And here are some swatches:

Towel Boy Toy

Kiwi Coolada

     Yellow Polka Dot Bikini

Sun Worshiper

Flip Flop Fantasy

Pool Party

All in all I really like these polishes and am going to rock them all season! My favorite out of this collection would be Flip Flop Fantasy, Kiwi Coolada (my favorite green so far) and Yellow Polka Dot Bikini :)

So, what do you think of the Poolside collection? Are you digging neon nails for this season?

Hey everybody!
I am soon going to stay at a hotel for a few days with some of my friends and my boyfriend so I decided to prepare my makeup bag and take some pictures while I do so. I tried to keep the number of products at a minimum since I am going to stay there for just a few days. Honestly, I am quite pleased with myself to have narrowed it down to just these products. Skincare is not included in this as I keep those in a seperate bag.

Spring Loves!

Hey Everyone!
As for my first post I wanted to share with you some of my top picks for Spring. I recently went shopping and got my hands on some pieces that I absoletly adore!

First, are these pair of bright turquoise platform wedges . Bright colors are super in this Spring and Summer and I thought in what better way can I add a pop of color to my outfit if not with shoes? ... I got these pair of shoes at new look for only £24.99 and you can find them here.

Next is a clutch. Metallics are also a big trend this Spring and when I found this clutch on asos.com in the sale section for only £10, I had to get it. Since metallics are quite a daring trend this is the prefect way to incoporate them in your outfit. The specific one I got is a light beige color with metallic silver, which I think is a great way to tone down any metallic! [Tip- You can find amazing deals on the sale section of asos and most of the time they are free shipping :)]

Another thing I got from asos was this neon yellow watch. Is it gorgeous or what? ... I completely fell in love with it and it is $45.45, which is a reasonable price for a watch. You can find it here :)

Last Spring favorite are any bright or pastel nail polishes, which you can find a great selection of colors at any brand! My favorites at the moment are 'Tart Deco' by essie and Revlon's 'Minted'.

Tart Deco - Essie

 Minted - Revlon

Personally, I am really excited for this Spring's and Summer's trend. What do you think of the items I showed? And what are YOUR favorite trend this season?

Much love!
